Happy New 2015 Year!!!

Here we goooo!!! 2015 is coming! Are you ready for celebration? Are you ready? Got enough champagne?
My dear friends = readers = all the people in the world! Thank you so much for staying with me and following fashion\bookish\life discoveries. Sorry for not blogging as often as I could've done, I will try to do it better next year.
I want to congratulate all the working girls and boys out there! In 2014 you did a very good job and you really worked your a**es off. So now is time to enjoy the fruits of your toil - to call your mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, grandparents and to say that you love them, to drink champagne, to dance, to laugh, to get crazy, to eat snow (but do not eat yellow snow), to hug your friends or strangers in the street, to kiss your beloved ones or strangers in the street, to give your pet more food than you usually do, to say kind words to the old lady that you've been hating for a year, and to wake up in the fluffy bed with the whole life ahead!
My dear friends, I hope 2015 will bring you all the happiness that you wish for, all the piece that you worry about and all your dreams will come true! Promise yourself to be a better version of yourself in 2015 and to do things that you always wanted to do but because of some stupid reasons postponed. Live your life now, not in the future, but today!
I LOVE you my dear friends! Thank you for sharing your time with me. See you in 2015!!!! And don't forget to BE BRIGHT

#MBFWRUSSIA Free Spirit Combination

I like the free spirit of this insane combination. I dress the way I feel because it's my life, actually.

Checked Skirt & Green Tights at #MBFWRUSSIA.

Checked skirts will ALWAYS be fashionable! ALWAYS!!! FOREVER!
Tartan makes everyone look sharp. As a proof of my words - look at the girl in the picture. Or imagine an old lady wearing a tartan piece, she will look stylish too. Recently in the cafe I saw an old lady wearing a perfectly tailored tartan jacket. Guys, if you only could see the air of dignity with which she strutted on her way out. She was wearing a perfectly tailored tartan jacket. At that moment I admired her and I envied her. If you have a grandma, buy something made of tartan as her Christmas or New Year gift. She will look bright and sharp.

#MBFWRUSSIA 2014. Grey Coat Trend.

I'm not a fan of grey colour, but if you like the colour and vintage or vintage looking clothes, you might like the coat above.
To me the coat in the foto looks like a grandmother's coat, but the girl wears it quite well. In case you dear a brighter look: carefully styled hair, red lips, necklaces and earrings, party dress, see-through tights and hills - girl, you will look fabulous.

Architecture in Moscow № 21

This house reminds me of a fairy tale house. If its somebody's house - wow. If its somebody's office - great.  Life might seem so easy and bright in the house. I wonder, does anywhere exist an alley of painted houses? If yes, let me know, guys.

Street Art in Moscow # 22. You Can Build Your Own World.

Hello, guys! As you can see I still keep on exploring Moscow streets and hidden from public eye nooks to discover street art. For the last couple of months I have been very lucky to find impressive graffiti here, here & here
Being a girl who works in construction company, I could not skip taking a picture of the street art above. It happens to be not only a bright well painted=sprayed piece, but a graffiti with a message. The message of it is very simple - we are responsible for this world and we are creators of the environment around us. I'm not saying that a human being created Earth. You know perfectly well which power created our planet. I hope you do. If you don't, read Stephen William Hawking's books or Bible. This idea seems difficult to understand, because it takes SO MUCH hard work to influence the world and not many people are ready for such toil. But when you start switching on your brain and do thinking, analysing, asking questions like: "Why this sh*t is happening in the world? Why this sh*t happens with me? Why do I have to cope with this sh*t, while the rich do not have to?", and reading scientific books on history, society, politics, economics, philosophy, you will be able to see the true nature of events around you. Knowledge is power, you know guys. Those bright people who have knowledge, they can create their own world and "construct" the world the way they want to see it.
One more tiny message in the graffiti - a construction worker. Look at him. What do you see? His clothes is quite simple. He seems to be a guy from the block, though a handsome one. He has an orange hard hat on. The orange hat give us a message that he is not a big boss. Big bosses or wannabe bosses wear white or blue hats on while visiting construction site. True construction workers, who do all the muddy work, wear hard hats of orange colour. After this explanation, I think the message gets clear for you - people who change and influence the world, make it a better place are ordinary, simple people you see every day in the street. Big bosses do not change the world because they actually do not work, they just give orders. People who make their orders come true are we. Before following your boss's order think twice whether you really want to follow it and not follow your own dreams and wishes.
The world changers have brains=knowledge and self-belief. They do not let other fearful people bring them down.
A simple graffiti on the wall but evoked so many thoughts.

Practicing in Styling. Office Queen Look.

Sweater Marc by Marc Jacobs embelished sequin sweater, 13,973 rur
Skirt - Sachin+Babi 1100 usd
Shoes: Saint Laurant classic paris 105 studded pumps, 33,321 rur

Nearly all fashion magazines say: "If you can't buy expensive clothes you can just look at it." So 80% or 90% of people invest their money and time in watching on pieces they will never be able to purchase. I hope someday clothes created by ANY designer will cost like fast market pieces.
I invested my time (luckily only 10 minutes) in searching for the right pieces to create the combination above. If you wear these pieces to work, I'm sure you'll be an office queen.

A Working Girl Look for Friday Created by Alyona

No dress code at work? Are you fed up with sweatshirts and old jeans? Do you want the workmates to treat you better? Do you start waiting for weekend starting from Monday? Here are some thoughts to cheer you up.

Hello guys! Happy day is finally here (I mean Friday). For the next two days we can belong to ourselves. And nobody can make us do what we do not want, even for money. On weekend there will be no "lovely" boss, no computer monitor, no tired eyes, no early wake-ups. On weekend we belong to ourselves ONLY!!! Yooohooo!!!
I made this post for every working girl and boy to cheer you up, and may be for showing off.
Some of us have dress codes at work, which we do not embrace with open heart. Boys can be tired of wearing suites and ties, girls are tired of heels, figure hugging pencil skirts, make-up and hair styles. Some of us do not have dress codes and are allowed to wear jeans and sweatshirts 5 days a week. Among these two main groups of people I can single out a funny paradox - those who have to follow a strict dress code dream of wearing old jeans, and those for whom its more comfortable to wear jeans and a sweatshirt due to highly active and always-on-the-go job, dream of heels and dresses.
My advise to you - if you can slightly violate a dress code and won't be fired for that, then do violate it! If wearing heels instead of trainers will make you feel good, you should do it.
For instance, I work at construction site, but I'm not a builder. Work at construction site is not an easy work - you are always surrounded with noisy construction equipment, mud, tired faces of builders. I mean, even not carrying bricks on the top floor of the building under construction, but seeing and facing all the above said will make you feel tired. Being on site and being a girl means wearing old jeans, trainers and sweatshirts. Which means you do not look like a girl any more. The longer you choose that look, the faster you stop paying attention to your appearance. You stop noticing how fast you can become an ugly duckling. Boys around you will stop seeing a girl in you. Will you be happy after that? I do not think so. But let's face it, that in the end, every girl and some boys, like dressing-up.
Dear friend, you are free to wear anything you want. Waking up today or on Monday and wanting to put on something different from what you choose every day for office (but do not wear too much sequence), I completely support you doing so. Do not be scared. Do not feel shy to look different from everybody around you. If you look different, in a good way, more people will notice you, and unfortunately, people treat you better, when you dress better.

During my first days on construction site I was scared to wear anything else but jeans and a T-shirt. Being a girl, who sometimes does not mind putting on her back a fancy clothes, I couldn't bear wearing old jeans 5 days a week. One thought was always bugging me - I have a lot of fancy clothes, my life goes on, who will wear that clothes while I do not put off jeans every day? Fashion changes fast and when I finally can wear those fancy pieces, they might be out of vogue. I couldn't stand wearing shitty clothes while better clothes was covering with dust in my wardrobe.
So, I decided to wear whatever I want.

I like this faux fur top a lot, because it's warm and extremely soft. When people feel how soft the top is, they want to hug me. So I feel myself like a teddy bear whom kids are fond of hugging. (It's recent H&M collection).

My old pleated skirt which still looks good despite being 10 years old. Violet suede boots (Promod)

As you can see I started putting on anything I want for the office work day whenever I feel inspired.

Even working with builders at construction site a girl can look like a girl.
I hope you like my girly look and this inspirational post.

Be yourself.
Be bright.

Hugs,
Alyona

Shoewear at #MBFWRussia

Shoes of nearly all types and colours are shown above. It's really nice when people choose shoe wear which is not only black and of classical model.

In this pic most of all I like the grey socks.

Work Mood and Wannabe Boss

I assume in the end of the year lot's of people will look like in the picture. I do not need end of the year, I already feel like this. Thanks to all my bosses at work. There is one main boss and another is his assistant and actually is not a boss to me, but he is longing to be as important as his chief. So that guy is one of the most arrogant and coward wannabe bosses with inferiority complex. I realize, that the work I'm doing  is not difficult, communicating with the real and wannabe boss you hate is difficult.
If anyone of you has the same issue, I completely understand you, guys.
Be bright, be strong and don't give up!

Fancy a Lace Coat?

Travelling by metro\subway I meet interestingly dressed people more often than walking in the street. Underground "city" is rich with persons, who choose curious pieces of clothes. Perhaps they simply spend their money on clothes and after do not have any means left to purchase a car.
The look in the picture looks classical and reserved if it wasn't for a lace coat. Lace coat adds playful mood and shows that its owner is not as conservative as might seem. I've never seen lace coats before, though I saw coats with lace inserts on it. The coat in the picture is completely covered with lace. In December in Moscow weather does not permit putting on a lace coat, you'll get frozen. In case you are lucky to be in the part of the planet where it's only 20C above zero, lace coat will be most suitable.
