Failed Looks at London Fashion Week 2015

  
 Я продолжаю пристально рассматривать уличный стиль в период недели моды в Лондоне. До этого дня я всегда рассматривала самые удачные наряды, вы можете их найти, например, здесь и здесь. Но сейчас я решила уделить внимание менее или абсолютно неудачным нарядам гостей показов. Ведь как известно, на ошибках учатся. Давайте приступим.

 I keep on looking under the magnifying glass at the street style during fashion week in London. Before I reviewed only the best looks, you can see them here & here. But now I decided to pay attention to the failed looks. Because as they say, one learns from mistakes. So, let's start. 

                                                                                  № 1

  Думаю, это отличный образ для ночи Хэллоуина - черные стрелки, бардовая помада, чёрная лаковая кожаная куртка и юбка, напоминающая лохмотья. Это отличный наряд для ведмочки, например.

  I think this look is great for Halloween night - larg black arrows, burgundy lipstick, black lacquered leather jacket & a skirt that reminds tatters. This is a perfect look for a witch.  

№ 2

 Это не самая лучшая попытка выделится из толпы и обратить на себя внимание, надев блузу в викторианском стиле и юбку поверх широких брюк. Для составления чёрно-белого наряда много фантазии не требуется. Но и из чёрно-белого наряда можно сделать отличный комплект, если есть интересные вещи. Этот же наряд мне кажется смешным и напоминает одежду сказочного чучела.

  It's not the best effort to stand out from  the crowd & attract photographers' attention, when you put on a Victorian style blouse, and a skirt over the wide-leg pants. You don't need much fantasy to make a black & white look. This one reminds me of a fairy tale scarecrow.

#MBFWRUSSIA Grey Coat No 2

 If you are a big fan of grey colour and of grey coats particularly, you might like this picture. One thing a I like about this look is that the lady in the picture added a bright colour to her look - she wears red boots. That's a nice trick to make grey look more colourful.

 Personally I'm not a fan of grey. I own only 3 grey pieces - a pullover, a vest and shorts. Surely I do not put them on frequently. Grey does not make me look bright. It's because I'm always pale and a bit blonde. The lady in the picture is tanned and a brunette, so she looks good wearing a total grey look.

  I'm not a fan of grey colour, but if you like the colour and vintage or vintage looking clothes, you might like the coat above.

 To me the coat in the foto looks like a grandmother's coat, but the girl wears it quite well. In case you dear a brighter look: carefully styled hair, red lips, necklaces and earrings, party dress, see-through tights and hills - girl, you will look fabulous.    

Leather Coat

For a sunny day skip faux fur coat and put on a leather piece.

Fancy a Lace Coat?

 Travelling by metro\subway I meet interestingly dressed people more often than walking in the street. Underground "city" is rich with persons, who choose curious pieces of clothes. Perhaps they simply spend their money on clothes and after do not have any means left to purchase a car. 

 The look in the picture looks classical and reserved if it wasn't for a lace coat. Lace coat adds playful mood and shows that its owner is not as conservative as might seem. I've never seen lace coats before, though I saw coats with lace inserts on it. The coat in the picture is completely covered with lace. In December in Moscow weather does not permit putting on a lace coat, you'll get frozen. In case you are lucky to be in the part of the planet where it's only 20C above zero, lace coat will be most suitable.         

#MBFWRUSSIA was Full of Smiles

 I'm posting this foto not only because of the wide smiles of the ladies, but also because of the bright yellow spots in their looks. I don't know why yellow is not popular among adults? I only know that yellow makes you look bright and makes everybody around you feel bright and sunny.    

Friday Look. Advanced Style by Elena.

 

  I think it's great when ladies in their 50s or 60s feel young inside and dress not like you expect them to dress. I think it's fun to have a grandmother like Elena in the picture. If you feel young inside you will look young outside and if you feel old or tired inside you will ... well, you know the way you'll look and everybody will ask you why do you are so tired and so on. 

  So girls and boys, feel young and feel free to do and to wear whatever you feel you need to wear. 

Like you remember, guys, knee boots are hot nearly every autumn. 

Feeling Blue?

  Blue and grey were very popular among fashion week visitors. I like blue, but I do not support grey. Though a combination of grey and blue can work very good, like in the picture above. 

MBFWRUSSIA Spring 2015. Fashion of Streets. Part 1.

Like I promised you, guys, I went to Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Russia, that takes place twice a year in Moscow. This time was different from my previous two seasons, that I had a chance to visit.  Why was it different? Well, I met many new bright and friendly people who gladly stroke poses and spoke about blogging, fashion shows and their beautiful looks. I will tell you more about my encounters, and for now ... LET THE SHOW BEGIN.

Some ideas for your autumn\winter wardrobe. What did fashion shows guests wear?

Colour Coats

This trend is still alive and colour coats still look cool. And I'm glad about it because grey and camel coats look boring. So girls, if you dislike your old coat and you are itching to buy a new one (not very expensive), I advise you to buy something of a bright or pale colour.  

 

Faux Fur Scarves

I like this trend, because I like everything connected with faux fur. If you do not live in Siberia, then faux fur will save you from the frosts in your town. Faux fur scarves came to substitute knitted scarves. I'm not saying here that knitted scarves will die out like dinosaurs. Fuax fur scarf is simply a new accessory that will refresh your look. I wish you a nice faux fur hunting this weekend.   

 

Backpacks

Trends of the 90s have been reincarnated by the designers. They made backpacks fashionable this year. I'm sure not many of you will support this trend - backpacks do not make you look feminine. Well, it depends on your point of you and on the backpack that you choose. I do not have problems looking not like a true girl from time to time, that is why I like this trend and don't mind taking a backpack to work a couple of days a week.  

 

Faux Fur Coats

Giiirls, faux fur coats are so cool!!! Get a bright faux fur coat and it would be a nice change for you beige or grey coat. So when you are in high spirits you can wear a bright soft coat, when your mood switches and you want to be unnoticed you can easily put the other coat on. Personally I have a light beige wool coat and leopard print faux fur coat. And you know what? I'm longing to find one more perfect faux fur coat for me. Two coats are never enough for a girl. But girls ,please, do not purchase pale pink and black faux fur - there are too many of them. In case you want someday to meet your twin sister on the bus or in the subway train about which you never knew, then go ahead! ;)

       

 

High Boots

I can single out one great advantage of high boots - they warm your legs. So your legs won't feel cold and a short skirt looks cool with them. 

 

Colour Jackets

If weather permits and you do not need any coat for now, then what can be better than a wool sweater underneath a bright jacket?

 

Bright Wool Sweaters

Isn't it logical to wear a wool sweater in autumn? Well, yes, but some of us do not own a really colourful or bright piece. Looking at the pictures below, even dark blue or olive sweater, but with the right skirt, will make you look stylish.

    

 

A-line Skirts

It's one of my MOST FAVOURITE trends and I want to inspire you, girls, to wear more skirts of this kind.  What is surprising - they look good with trainers, oxfords and other flats. You understand what I'm hinting on, right? 

 

Tight Skirts

If you are a fan of tight or pencil skirts, make sure it is of an unusual colour or pattern. 

Long Sweater Over A Skirt

At first, this look seemed weird to me. Only after I had enough courage to put on a baggy bright pink sweater over a short black skirt I realised, that it's not a bad option, after all.

Knitted Trousers, Dresses, Skirts

Wearing a knitted dress or skirt seems logical, while knitted pants look strange. I'm not sure knitted pants is the best option because they do not keep shape long. Well, wool stretches, you know. I do not consider knitted dress a good investment. You are allowed to buy it only if it's of a high quality, guys. You will not at least waste your money.

 

 Anything Made of Leather 

We've seen some leather skirts during New York Fashion Week. London shows us a lot of leather skirts and pants options. Leather piece is a cool and practical choice for the rainy autumn weather. 

Oversized Everything  

Baggy, oversized jackets, dresses, shirts, pants, anything. Feel free to let your body feel free.

 

Crazy Sleeves

From the practical point of view this trend is not practical at all, but if you appreciate art and unusual things - it's a great trend for you. Why not to buy a shirt with 1 meter long sleeves?

 Shirt Underneath a Dress or a Sweater

Isn't it comfortable to put a soft cotton shirt underneath a rough wool sweater? You would have never worn that sweater with underwear only in order to escape itching all day. A cotton shirt provides lots of new opportunities for the rough sweater. 

 

Pleated Everything

It's not a brand new trend and as far as I remember, pleated skirts have always been hot. Personally I own a short pleated skirt and love it a lot!

Feathers

Honestly, I thought there would be more feathers during this season fashion weeks. But alas, fashion world people nearly ignored this trend. So many pretty birds lost their feathers in vain! 

I like feathers. I even own a short skirt (bought in Stradivarius) completely covered with feathers. Despite the fact that after 10 minutes sit, I stand up and some feathers happen to be left on a chair, and I have to quickly pick them up and attach to my skirt again after the party, I still love my feathered skirt and would still buy it.     

Dress and Trainers

 Seeing more and more girls choosing comfortable, soft trainers with a pretty dress, instead of killer hills makes me happy. Finally, fashion adapts to a simple girl who has to walk and use public transport, instead of a girl adapting to fashion and wearing killer hills while climbing office staircases, carrying heavy bags with food on her way home in the end of a hard working day.  

We Are So Different and We Are Friends

Difference unites.

The girls in the picture look so different, but one thing unites them - friendship. Isn't it wonderful when people of different point of views, nationalities, clothes styles, skin colour can be friends? 

Some of us used to have great friends at school. But school friends tend to be substituted by university friends and the last tend be substituted by work mates or friends found after uni graduation. I do not keep in touch with some of my school friends. Sometimes I feel sorry that I lost them and we became so different and could not bear each other. 

Dear girls in the picture, if you are reading this post, I advise you to cherish your friendship and keep it as long as possible. Do not let envy and anger destroy your friendly ties.   

Fashion of Streets for Boys. Michael.

Do you like stand-up comedy, guys? You do not mind to give a hearty laugh once or twice a week and spend time with the boys who can free-style jokes for you? Isn't it a wonderful hobby or profession to have to make people laugh? They say, a good laugh makes your life longer. 

You can see one of the stand-up comedy lovers above in the picture. Guys, please meet and greet, Michael on Be bright!!! As soon as I spotted this bright boy, I knew I had to take his picture. I like balance in Micheal's look: blue jacket nicely balances, sort of quiets, bright shirt and jeans. I hope all aspiring comics will find their style of humour and style of clothes and will look this bright and cheerful.
